This was a girls trip for Wei Ting, Shirley, Yin Shyan, Ginger and Me initially... however, due to some issue, Wei Ting did not get to join us for the trip eventually and forfeited her flight tix... =(
It was 4 girls trip then...
The Airasia flight tix was bought back in Jan'13 at only RM166 per person... ^^
✿13 Oct 2013✿
We met up at Pavilion~★ altogether to went for currency exchange...
The rate was OK at approximately Rp. 1000 = RM 0.285 or equal RM1 = Rp. 3508...
Each of us exchanged for RM500, so the money changer gave us Rp. 7,000,000 and change of RM5...
After round of shopping at Sg Wang Plaza~★, we went for Karaoke session at Loud Speaker~★, it was a wonderful night, we have not been gathering altogether since graduated advanced diploma in TARC...
We booked taxi to airport at 6am the next day...
✿14 Oct 2013✿
We had fun till late the night before, luckily we were able to get up on time to catch the cab ^^
Along the way to airport we started chatting and got so excited for the trip~ =)
Our flight departure time was 9.25am so we had some spare time, thus we went to Old Town White Coffee~★ and took the pricey and awful breakfast... =p
Boarding time~✿
It was a 3-hour flight to arrive at Bali, Indonesia... As we were going on budget, we did not select seats when purchase the flight tix, we were sitting apart in the flight, however i was too tired, so i just passed out for more than an hour to get rest...
Beautiful views from the flight window~~
We arrived at Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport~★ at 12.36pm which is only 6 minutes late, however there were few counters to go through before leaving the airport to meet our driver...
Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport~★ |
Finally we went through all the counters and left the arrival hall, we saw our dear driver Mr Tattoo~★
Mr Tattoo ~ I Ketut Astika
English Speaking Driver
Email: mrtattoo95@yahoo.com
Mobile: +62 8123 972131
He looks like a gangster with tattoos all around his body but he is a humorous, funny, friendly guy... ^^
As we were so hungry after 3-hour flight, we requested to go for lunch first...
Our first stop~~
Ayam Tulang Lunak Malioboro~★
Location: Jalan Kediri, No. 50 I, Kuta, Bali.
Tel: +62 361 759192
This is a specialty in Bali which the chicken bones are soft and edible...
The Avocado juice with chocolate syrup is tasty as it is so pure and healthy~~
Juice Alpukat (Avocado) Rp. 31,000~★ |
Plecing Kangkung Rp. 25,000~★ |
Ayam Tulang Madu Wijen 1/2 Ekor Rp. 74,000~★ |
Ayam Tulang Telur Masin 1/2 Ekor Rp. 74,000~★ |
Tahu Telur Rp. 38,000~★ |
The chicken bones are really soft and easily broken, we tasted just a little bit of the bones as not used to eat the blood within the bones...
Ayam Tulang Telur Masin and Tahu Telur are very delicious while Ayam Tulang Madu Wijen is rather hard and dry and taste a bit like pork though... haha!! =)
The tax in the restaurant was 10% while service charge for 5%, thus there is total of 15% upon menu price...
Total amount billed was Rp. 324,300 for 4 persons... ^^
After filling up our empty stomach, we headed to the next stop~~
Rama Krisna Oleh-Oleh Khas Bali~★
Location: Jalan Raya Tuban, Kuta, Bali.
The merchandise in the shop are all at fixed price, so we could save up energy for the bargaining process..
We bought some souvenir and clothes in the shop and left for the next destination... everyone was happy with the shopping as the goods are so cheap after conversion... =)
After shopping for more than 2 hours, we headed to Ubud~~
The driver had helped to reserve the restaurant with nice paddy view for our dinner in Ubud...
Semar Warung~★
Location: Jalan Raya Mas, No. 165 Mas, Ubud, Bali.
Tel / fax: +62 361 974677
Website: www.semarwarung.com
Email: info@semarwarung.com
The restaurant was situated right beside paddy field, as we were not hungry when arriving the restaurant, we went around the paddy field for photo sessions... ^^
After admiring the view and took photos, we went back into the restaurant and decide on the menu...
The menu is not including the pictures of the food, hence they provide us some photos of their popular dishes for our convenience...
Eventually we have decided to try the roasted duck and nasi campur... while for beverages, we ordered different drinks and share together...
Watermelon & Mint Rp. 19,000~★ |
Avocado juice Rp. 19,000~★ |
Fresh Mint Tea Rp. 15,000 and Fresh Lemongrass Tea Rp. 15,000~★ |

Semar Bebek Goreng (Roasted Duck) Rp. 85,000~★ |
Nasi Campur Rp. 60,000~★ |
Appetising Sauces for dishes~★ |
The roasted duck is rather hard and dry, thus does not really suit our appetite... however nasi campur was OK, the BBQ stick was nice and fragrant but i am not so sure about the ingredient though~~ haha!!
There is tax of 10% and service charge of 6% for this restaurant, the white rice was at Rp. 15,000 each, thus total amount billed was Rp. 283,338, however as Rupiah currency was so big that the bill would have rounded up to Rp. 284,000... =)
After our dinner, we headed to our villa to check in... ^^ exciting!!
The villa stay was purchased from Groupon at RM 988 with private pool... haha!!
Villa Ikona~★
Location: Jalan Bali Deli, No. 32, Seminyak , 80361, Bali, Indonesia
It was a terrific villa!!! The pool is the best part... haha!!
We went around the villa, unpacked our luggages and jumped into the pool, as there were just girls in the villa, we swam with bikinis... haha!! ^^
✿15 Oct 2013✿
Early morning, we made appointment with Mr Tattoo for Dolphin tour at 3.30am however we did not manage to get up and eventually we departed at 4.15am... we were so scared that would not get to see dolphins for being so late~~
Mr Tattoo was so nice that he did not lost temper for waited us about an hour outside the villa and drove fast but safely along the route to destination...
Bali is not yet a well-developed island as there are mostly single lane on roads and old buildings on road sides...
We enjoyed view of dawn from uphill along the route to the destination...
Lovina Beach~★
After 2 hours drive, we finally make it to the beach, Mr Tattoo had reserved a boat for us and informed that we would be late...
The boat tour was Rp. 100,000 per person...
The dolphin tour seems like playing games with the dolphins, hide and seek missions and chasing... haha!!
The boat driver would chase the dolphins wherever he spotted for us to take photos of the dolphins...
They were so beautiful... the dolphins were in pack and play chasing games with the boats... they would appear for some time then disappear from water surface again... their jumping movements are so fascinating... ♥
After playing games with dolphins, we headed to have our brunch... =)
Nasi Babi Guling~★
Pork Soup~★ |
Steamed rice~★ |
Babi Guling~★ |
This is a spicy dish, very spicy~~ there are different cooking of pork and vegie altogether, the BBQ pork stick and roasted pig skin are nice... =)
Total amount billed for 4 of us was Rp. 178,000...
After this Bali specialty dish, we headed to next destination~~
Tanah Lot Temple~★
This is a famous floating temple (terapung) in Bali which situated on sea and the rock around has been shaped continuously over the years by ocean tides...
The entrance fee is required for each person at Rp. 30,000...
From the entrance, we need to walk along the road to get to the temple, along the road, there were many stalls and shops...
Shopping time!! The t-shirts on promotion was just Rp. 15,000, so cheap, the quality is 'cheap' as well though...
There was roasted corn selling on the street at Rp. 5,000 each, it was so delicious and fragrant... ♥
Mr Tattoo had given us tips to shop there and we manage to bargain for best price when we purchase more from the same shop... We managed to get scarves at Rp. 20,000 each and dresses at Rp. 40,000 each... The quality was not really superb but still amazing cheap... ^^
After a round of shopping, we headed to the temple... the view was amazing but the weather was so hot...
After taking rounds of photos for the temple and beach, we went for ice-cream at the shop nearby...
Mr Tattoo was always waiting for us, feel so sorry to him as we always delay in schedule, we were supposed to meet him at 3pm but eventually it was 3.30pm then...
There were always 1 or 2 hours drives between destinations in Bali, thus we could have more time to rest in the SUV and chit chat with each other as well...
Jimbaran Bay~★
The beach is so magnificent with soft sand and breathtaking view...
We were here to enjoy dinner accompanied with sunset just in front of us...
Kampoeng Seafood Bumbu Bali~★

Glorious Dinner with Sunset~★ |
There were 10% of tax and 5% of service charge upon 2 sets of Rp. 400,000 package, total amount billed was Rp. 920,000... ^^
This was a really great and memorable feast for us... the restaurant is having cosy ambience and situated right on the beach, it is a romantic place for proposals and anniversaries... ♥
After the splendid dinner, we headed back to our lovely villa... =)
Mr Tattoo guided us to go for a walkaround nearby the villa, there was a long street full of shops and boutiques, many of them were lovingly decorated... ✿
We were able to grab some souvenir and we got into Rosy which is on sale storewide from 30% and 50% for special items... ^^ Shirley and Shyan grabbed Roxy slippers...
While glancing through the alcohol section in the convenience mart, we bought Bali Cooler back to villa...
There were wine glasses in the villa and thus we enjoy having the drinks in the pool... ★
Bali Cooler~Lemon / Orange Rp. 24,000 each~★ |
✿16 Oct 2013✿
Early morning, there was villa staff prepared American breakfast for us...
After settled everything, the staff went off and let us enjoy the breakfast~~
After the healthy breakfast, we went to pack our luggages and get ready to depart for the final day tour...
There was so much reluctance to leave the villa...
Today's first destination~~
Paddy Terrace~★
There was entrance fee of Rp. 5,000 per person for paddy terrace...
The paddy was planted by layers due to the hill terrain and it became a nice panoramic view for the paddy field... =)
Next destination~~
Coffee Plantation~★
Kopi Luwak or Civet Coffee is a coffee made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet and other related civets, then passed through its digestive tracts...
Civet~★ |
During the visit in the plantation, we got to taste variety of coffee and tea for FREE... ^^
Luwak Coffee Rp. 30,000~★ |
Shyan~★ |
While visiting the plantation, we got to see the Cocoa Tree, Vanilla Tree etc
After visiting the coffee plantation, we headed to an amazing place for lunch~~
Volcanic view of Mount Batur & Danau Batur~★
There was entrance fee of Rp. 11,000 per person for the lookout point of Mount & Danau Batur, even if you are dining in the restaurant there~~
We were taking lunch in restaurant with this view right in front of us...
This amazing view was really a great appetiser~~✿
The restaurant offers lunch buffet at Rp. 70,000 after tax of 10%, its Rp. 77,000 per person... =)
With the nice view just ahead of us, definitely there were photo sessions... ^^
With our nice driver Mr Tattoo~★ |
After enjoying the mesmerising view of Mount & Danau Batur, we headed back to town~~
Last stop was at Rama Krisna again for us to have last minute shopping and spend whatever's left with Rupiah... ^^
As for this 3D2N trip, we did not expect to have so nice shopping here, thus we exchanged for RM500 for each person only, eventually we got to know from Mr Tattoo that we would still need to pay for the Rp. 150,000 for airport tax before departure... we got so upset as we could have bought many things with that much of money~~
Luckily Mr Tattoo is so kind to exchange for us and so we could spend happier in Krisna... ✿
After last round of shopping, we reluctantly heading to airport... >.<
As for budget and this was just 3D2N trip, we did not purchase any check-in luggage... thus we were so afraid that officers might check our luggage weight in the airport... fortunately all of us passed through every gates & counters... =)
This is a really great trip together with my fellow buddies... ^^
In total, the whole trip would have costed around RM1,000 inclusive of flight tix and villa stay... ♥
More Dolphin Tour & Tanah Lot Temple photos would be updated soon... =)
so nice <3
ReplyDeleteYea~~ its nice! but 3D2N is quite short, more days would be more relaxed~~ =)
