Recalling June 16 in 2012......
Today is our first day trip ~ York ★
As Monkey and Eng Seng were still in Malaysia preparing for ACCA exams, this trip was only joined by Xiao Hui and me...
This is one of the trips that we join Tong Hang, it was so thoughtful that all Tong Hang's trips will pick us up from hostels... Unlike Hallam Union's trips which we need to get to The Hubs...
York is one of the most historic cities in UK... ^^
OMG, it started raining when we arriving York... >.<
The first attraction is Cliffords Tower~★
There are geese running around near Cliffords Tower... ^^
Xiao Hui, Mei, Joanne and I went to Betty's Cafe Tea Rooms~★ which is a famous tea house in York, the queue to get seats could take to an hour outside the tea house... we were lucky to be there earlier... =)
Everything is nice in Betty's, the atmosphere, the cakes, the tarts are amazing... ♥
After taking brunch in Betty's, we are going for walkaround and shopping... haha!!
There is promotion for Hugo Boss in ThePerfumeShop~★ during our visit in York, i bought one for Hang~ it is so worthwhile, £39.99 for 200 ml!!!
And i bought a pair of boots for myself for only £10 at Stead & Simpson~★
Then, we go to Museum Gardens~★ there are lots of beautiful and colorful flowers in the garden... =)
We take photos with the flowers... lovely... ✿

✿~June 13~♥
Recalling June 13 in UK......
As the exchange rate of UK Sterling Pound was around 5 that time, we could not afford to have meals outside everyday...
Thus, we would prepare lunch and dinner ourselves in the house...
Simple spaghetti with Prego sauce and topped with Basil would be our lunch or dinner...
Or else, we would buy 1 pound pizza from Aldi and topped with my favourite BBQ sauce then shared as one meal of the day...
And after meal, this is the best part in UK... we enjoyed the most!!!
We would have fruits as desserts... Our favourite, fruits~ especially CHERRY~★
Cherry is so worthwhile in UK, as we could get as low as £1 in ASDA for 250g, or else might be lower in ALDI... ^^ however, Asda's would seemed fresher compared to lower cost in Aldi...
PS: I checked with mum for the price in Msia, it was RM60 per kg... >.<

✿~June 11~SHU Orientation~♥
Recalling June 11 in 2012.....
This day was the orientation day, the first day we went to our beloved SHU city campus...
From Charlotte Court, it would take about 20 minutes to walk to Owen Building...
As for the first time, we were still new there, we took a longer road to campus... haha!! =)
After nearly half hour of exercise, we finally arrived in Owen Building...
Hey, forgot to mention, there was an uphill before reaching Owen Building, that part of route to uni everyday was not my favourite... XDXD
All of the TARC students were gathered in the Pennine Lecture Theatre~★
There was Andrew Bromley, the friendly student co-ordinator greeted us with warm welcome... ^^
After the orientation ceremony, we went to The Hubs to get tickets to weekend trips...
It was quite a disappointment when found out that we were too late to book for Tong Hang's Weekend Trips which was more recommended ones, as Allen and Zen were very nice and lovely tour guides...
Anyhow, we were still going for weekend trips!!
There were trips organised by Hallam Union which was sold in The Hubs that noon...
Su Wei and I went to The Hubs after light lunch which provided by SHU after the orientation...
We bought ourselves, Monkey and Eng Seng tickets to weekend trips and parties...
There were Cowboy Party and Disney Party, sounded interesting right?

✿~June 10~♥
Recalling June 10 in 2012...
As we had done some shopping in - ALDI ★
We enjoyed breakfast with - HARVEST MORN ~ Chocolate Crunch ★ with Raspberries
The combination was tasty, as cereal alone would be too sweet, thus with the sourness from Raspberries, having this just made our morning wonderful...
Milk - £1
Harvest Morn Cereal - £1.xx (not more than £1.50)
Raspberries - £1
My favourite milk there was with the lowest % of fat, if not mistaken, it was 0.4% Fat stated on the bottle, it tasted so nice... Unlike milk in Malaysia which seem to be 4% Fat, hahaha!!! =p
For only these price, we could really enjoy mornings in UK... ^^

Recalling June 08 in 2012,
It was a memorable day, where i was onboard Singapore Airline, arrived in Manchester Airport...
It was drizzling that day, felt the cooling weather in the ending of Spring...
We waited in the airport for someone to lead us to the coach to get to our hostels in Sheffield...
Su Wei and i were in the same plane... so we just stick together...
When we arrived at the gathering point, we saw Mei and Joanne, which became our flatmates then.. =)
It was a roughly 2 hours journey to get to CHARLOTTE COURT, our new home in UK during the study...
I got the Number 1 room in flat 9, which being the master bedroom in the flat... lucky me... =p
We were guided by the senior residents for internet usage in the room, thanks a lot to Ujin and Yu Huang... ^^
Then we went for walkaround... enjoying the cold weather, unlike hot ones in Malaysia...

✿~Tips for Self-Study~♥
This is exactly what i need for coming exam on 11th June, facing my nightmare P2!!!!!
Tips from ACCA~~★
1 Make use of support
Make use of any distance learning support you have. Some of you will be distance-learning candidates so will have access to remote support from tutors – use it.
2 Use the latest materials
Sometimes students studying at home will use second-hand study materials, which may be out of date. The syllabus for some exams changes so you must make sure you have the latest materials – or at least know and have access to whatever material has changed.
3 Find a peer group
One of the most effective ways to learn is to have a peer group of people who are all trying to achieve
the same goals. Find friends or people you may know and regularly meet up or communicate to
support each other through your exams.
4 Be disciplined
Be disciplined in your studies. It’s very easy to want to take extra breaks, or not really push yourself
hard when studying at home. You must focus on the reasons why you are taking the exams and use
those and strict time management to keep yourself disciplined.
5 Immerse yourself in a topic
When you study at a college you will concentrate on one topic or paper for days at a time. The reason
is that the human brain learns best when immersed in learning. Use this principle and focus on one
topic or one paper for hours at a time. It may get boring, but it works.
6 Do practice questions
It can be very easy to become lazy about doing practice questions at home. You can fool yourself into
thinking that just because you have read something you know it and don’t have to test yourself. You
must do practice questions as you study.
7 Recreate exam conditions
In order to perform well in the actual exam you must get your body and mind trained to be able to
cope with the physical and mental pressure. So make sure you do mock exams under exam conditions
including sticking to time limits, using a small desk, sitting continuously for just over three hours,
writing neatly, etc. The better you can recreate exam conditions the better you will do in the real exam.
